Resetting the adaptation and the counter for "Transmission oil, replace"

Hint: The transmission has torque-regulated, adaptive pressure regulation.

The pressure regulator enables the transmission to regulate pressure during each shift to prevent hard shifting.

Each shift is assessed by the transmission control module (TCM) and is stored in the internal memory.

This makes it possible to compensate for transmission and clutch wear.

It is important that the adaptation in the memory is reset so that the transmission works normally after the repair.

Because the fluid was changed during the repair, the counter for transmission fluid change must also be reset.

Hint: The following method gives a basic adaption of the transmission.

In case of sportier driving, it is not certain that the basic adaptation is sufficient to give improved shifting quality.

The method can be adapted to cover the engine speeds where problems with shifting quality occur, but make sure that orange/yellow warning light is activated just as in the basic adaption.

Note!
Always begin with a basic adaptation.
Start the engine. 엔진을 시동하십시오.
Gear selector in position P. 위치 P에 기어 선택기가 있습니다.
Activate "Adaptation mode". "적응 모드"를 활성화하십시오.

Disconnect the diagnostics tool and test-drive the vehicle according to the description below.

Start the test drive after the text message is displayed in the combined instrument panel.

The general orange/yellow warning lamp is used during adaptation as an indicator that the target value has been reached.

The warning light goes out again after 2-4 seconds, depending on what type of adaption is performed.

1. Accelerate gently at an engine speed of approximately 1400 rpm up to 4th gear.

For example the general orange/yellow warning lamp will not light after every shift from 1st-2nd gear.

The symbol only needs to have been lit once for each shift at each engine speed to be sure that the adaptation has reached its target value.

2. Allow the engine to run at idle speed and hold the brake pedaldepressed.
